Last year before the holidays I got to spend some time with Tina and her little loves. There was snow on the ground but the weather was still beautiful so we played at a park in Arvada and the photos turned out so cute! Although I know family photos can feel so stressful…coordinating outfits, making sure everyone is in a good mood, and showing up on time before the sun goes down…the work is always worth the reward. Our kids are only at this stage once. The connection that we have with them grows and evolves, but the connection that we have right now is just for right now. So schedule the photos, buy the outfits, love on your kids in front of a camera. And go ahead and let your expectations of perfection go while you’re at it. Because life with littles is never perfect, but these moments are priceless.
And to this babe who’s holding it all together…bravo momma! You’re incredible. I know from experience that you’ll blink one day and they will be taller than you, so soak it up.
